2023 has some significant energy shifts in store; how these will affect you depends on your chart. However, on a collective level, we are moving out of some significant phases that will affect where and how we collectively socially, financially and politically shape our futures. Overall, however, I believe things will be a little lighter and a little easier than the heaviness of the past few years. We are now in the phase of putting everything we may have learned, both personally and collectively, into action.
My goal is to reflect a little on what the impact of these changes could mean collectively. There is so much more than what I have written here which of course I will be posting in more detail throughout the year.
I don’t do horoscopes by sun or rising sign as I strongly believe in the entirety of the chart to determine how your year ahead may look, so if you are interested in knowing more, get in touch.
So, the flavour ahead for us collectively is the beginning of a
dynamic push from the old world order into a new world order. We will start to see how we can genuinely shape and reform our institutions, businesses and governments to be more inclusive, equitable, flexible and innovative. Technology and people power will revolutionise everything and those holding onto the old batons of control and power are going to be in for a rude awakening. Changes will not happen in a hurry, 2023 is the beginning of the new, and there will still be a way to go before we see the true impact. This is our opportunity to take all the lessons learned since 2008 and culminating in the pandemic and transform how we operate collectively.
We find ourselves seeing everything with more compassionate eyes. We may feel as if a veil has been lifted from our collective consciousness and what we may have held as truths could be put to the test.
Pluto moves out of Capricorn and quickly visits Aquarius. Mar 23, 2023
This is the event that has the astrological community talking. Pluto, our dark prince of transformation, has been in the sign of Capricorn since 2008. Since then, we have seen almost a complete breakdown of many of the institutions that were once in place to govern us. Pluto will now be moving into Aquarius, where he has not been since the 1700s and was the catalyst for the last industrial revolution. Pluto takes the first step into Aquarius in March 2023 and will perform a prelude as he only stays here until June 11th, when he moves back to Capricorn for a while. He take his permanent position in Aquarius in January 2024.
However, this year is the sneak peek, the beginning of the new, and we will expect to see a shift and change in technology, science, innovation and social justice- all elements ruled by Aquarius. Pluto in Aquarius historically has bought revolution and violent reactions against change. The polarities we saw during the pandemic may get wider and wider as the collective fights for change. We have the opportunity for revolution, and I feel that we will really start to see some major pushback from any part of society that has had its freedoms, opportunities and power controlled and manipulated by the old world order. This may feel like a major game of tug of war as Pluto moves back into Capricorn this year as well, shifting balances of power back and forth until he positions himself firmly in Aquarius in 2024
Saturn moves into Pisces March 8th
Saturn, the planet that can bring us many lessons but also limitations, moves out of Aquarius and into Pisces on March 8th, where he will stay until February 2026. Saturn moved into Aquarius in 2020, and with it, combined with a square from Uranus, our collective movements and freedoms were restricted. When Saturn moves into Pisces, we are collectively being asked to put some structure and action around our individual and collective post-pandemic healing. However, this may feel much harder than we would like it to. Pisces is such an elusive, spiritual, ethereal sign, and Saturn here is trying to herd cats literally. Finding our motivation for emotional expression, allowing ourselves to be vulnerable and bothering to be kind toward our fellow humans can all be put to the test, but in fact, this is precisely what will be needed. Individually, our faith, spirituality, creativity, connectedness, and personal boundaries may feel tested at times, but much of this will depend on the rest of our individual charts. As Saturn moves into Pisces, those people born from 1993- April 1996 and 1965- March 1967 will feel it the strongest as we both experience our Saturn Returns.
Jupiter moves into Taurus- on 17th May
Our Taurean friends finally get a break
after a couple of years of cumbersome aspects, Jupiter, the planet of expansion, abundance and opportunity, moves into Taurus, where he will stay for just over 12 months. This is certainly a feel-good transit and one that may bring genuine opportunity to change and grow our financial systems, especially when Jupiter meets the nodes in May but also forms a challenging aspect with Pluto and Mars. I imagine some real financial upheaval here followed by an opportunity to change how we use our resources, including the earth's resources. We may see a fundamental shift toward renewables and investment in environmentally supportive technologies, which has been a long time in the coming.
With Jupiter here, we are all given a new opportunity to manage our resources, finances and material in a new and improved fashion. Jupiter in Taurus will offer us a longer-term view over all our material goals and will provide an extra boost to wherever Taurus happens to be in your chart.
I hope 2023 brings you all you wish for, peace, happiness and growth opportunities. Happy New Year, and thank you to all who have supported Aspect Astrology over the past 12 months. I am open for readings from February 2023. If you are interested in finding out more, email
